Ex BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover is currently recognized as the ex-shark on Shark Tank India season 1. Before his stint on the show, Ashneer was but a private person with bare minimum social media presence. He remembers having 236 followers before the show, as compared to his situation now.
Currently, Ashneer has 7,60,000 followers on Instagram. He is best remembered for his ‘doglapan’ dialogue from the show.
While talking at Lovely Professional University, Ashneer revealed that he was very private before Shark Tank India happened in his life. His life on social media (Instagram account) was also private.
Ashneer revealed had 236 followers on his private account before Shark Tank India happened. He used to follow 336 people back then.
However, the ratio changed drastically ever since. Now he has as low as 65 following on Instagram and as many as 7,60,000 followers.
At the same event, Ashneer joked that the sharks became a part of Shark Tank India because they wanted fame. He said that neither of the sharks were paid any money and instead worked for longer hours because they were the ones with the money and the team associated with the show was very poor.
Ashneer’s life was a hot topic for a long time. His vacation pictures, parties with the Sharks at their homes and the eventual resignation from BharatPe all made headlines since Shark Tank India season 1 came to an end.
In fact, now Ashneer has promised a memoir. The memoir is titled Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups. The book is expected to be available by December 26.
