Imran Abbas, who had a short career in Bollywood, recently came clean about the Hindi blockbusters he had previously declined. When asked about turning down offers from directors like Rajkummar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Mahesh Bhatt, the actor spoke frankly about it on Nida Yasir's show Shan-e-Suhoor.
During an interview with Arry Digital's YouTube channel, the popular Pakistani actor made the following statement about his career: When he looks back at his career, leaving behind films like Aashiqui 2, everyone asks him about leaving a big film such as Aashiqui, or why didn't he say yes to Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela? Imran was also offered the role of Sarfaraz, the character played in PK by Sushant Singh Rajput. He did not reject the upcoming series Heeramandi by Sanjay Leela Bhansali; instead, it was shelved earlier. The actor also claimed that he was offered the role Aditya Roy Kapur played in Guzaarish.
Imran also revealed that it was the largest undertaking, Aashiqui 2, which he revealed that everyone was claimed to be offered. Director Mohit Suri and the producer made him the sole official offer, and he stated that people could seek confirmation from Mahesh Bhatt.
The actor also shared that there are those who want to make him feel bad about it, saying things like, "You know, that film was so successful; what other film of mine wasn't?" He can't handle it if someone tries to bring him down.
In the Vikram Bhatt-directed film Creature 3D, where he starred opposite Bipasha Basu, Imran made his Bollywood debut. The actor then made a special appearance in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, released in 2016. In the film, he played the role of Anushka Sharma's short-term boyfriend who cheats on her with Lisa Haydon's character, who plays Ranbir Kapoor's girlfriend.
