It's the last month of the year and Malayalam fans will have enough to cheer about in the first week of December. From Kalidas Jayaram’s Aval Peyar Rajini in theatres to Tovino Thomas’ Adrishya Jalakangal on OTT, there’s plenty of movies across genres that are sure to keep fans hooked with different releases back to back.

Pulli

Sufiyum Sujatayum-fame actor Dev Mohan’s film Pulli is directed by Jiju Ashokan. It is based on Stephen (played by Dev), who ends up in prison for the second time. The movie also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Indrans, Kalabhavan Shajon and Vettukili Prakash in pivotal roles.

Ohh… Cinderella

Ohh... Cinderella is a romantic drama film directed by Renolze Rehman. It stars Anoop Menon, Dilsha Prasannan, and Aju Varghese. The film was released in theatres on November 3 and revolves around a film director, Ameer (Anoop Menon), who is accused of sexual harassment by a woman named Cinderella. However, Ameer has no memory of anyone by that name. The surprises and shocks that await him as he and his gang of friends go into hiding form the plot of the film.

Cheena Trophy

Dhyan Sreenivasan’s comedy drama Cheena Trophy will be released in theatres on December 8. The film, helmed by Anil Lal, revolves around Zheng (played by Kendy Zirdo), a woman from China, who arrives in an Indian village. Her arrival somehow disrupts the rhythm of the village, leaving the audience curious about her identity and the reasons behind her visit.

Adrishya Jalakangal

After its run on the big screen in November, Tovino Thomas’ war film, Adrishya Jalakangal, directed by Dr. Biju Damodaran, is set to make its digital debut on Netflix on December 8. The movie follows Tovino’s character, who is released from a lunatic asylum to make room for others. As he takes up a new profession, he begins to experience mysterious incidents that stem from his stay at the asylum. Nimisha Sajayan and Indrans also star in this surrealistic drama.

Pendulum

Vijay Babu, Indrans, Anumol and Ramesh Pisharody star in this thriller, which revolves around a psychologist who delves deep to unravel a mystery. He concludes that lucid dreaming could be the key to help him change his past and rectify his future.

Thaal

Anson Paul stars in Thaal, which is a psychological journey with suspenseful sequences and a mysterious individual struggling with OCD. Rahul Madhav's character hints at a chilling portrayal of a potential psychopath. Inspired by real-life incidents in Kerala, Thaal is a campus thriller with a captivating storyline.

Nona

Actor Kalidas Jayaram’s upcoming bilingual mystery thriller, Aval Peyar Rajni, is all set to be released in theatres on December 8. Kalidas plays the lead role in Vinil Scariah Varghese's bilingual film, Aval Peyar Rajni. The movie’s premise unfolds around a couple, but a mysterious turn of events occurs when a crime disrupts their lives, leading them to unexpected and eerie situations. The film is releasing in both Tamil and Malayalam.
