The much-anticipated electric car series FIA Formula E 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix is all set to make its presence felt in India. The first ever race in the country as part of the series will be held on February 11, 2023, in the track across the scenic Hussain Sagar Lake. Noted Telugu film celebrities have conveyed their support for the event, including Prabhas, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Chaitanya Akkineni, Nani, Adivi Sesh, Venkatesh Daggubati and Allu Arjun.

Project K star Prabhas posted a video message and wrote, “I am proud that India is addressing climate change by hosting its first ever formula e race. Congratulations to the Government of Telangana, Greenko significant achievement, let’s make Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix one for the history book. On the 11th of February 2023, Hyderabad will make its mark on the global stage of motorsports.”

Chiranjeevi opined that it was a matter of pride for the country that the greenest race is being organised in India (Hyderabad). He said the #GreenkoHyderabadEprix was a step towards a future of sustainability and decarbonization. Mahesh Babu joined other celebs to share the message of racing against climate change and his eagerness for Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix.

Nagarjuna Akkineni, his son and actor Naga Chaitanya shared their excitement by congratulating politician KT Rama Rao, the Government of Telangana and Anil Chalamalasetty for bringing the Formula E World Championship to India and his city - Hyderabad. And I am super excited to see you all on February 11th, at the Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix”. Allu Arjun, calling himself an environmental enthusiast, said he was keen to witness the country’s first ever electric car series in Hyderabad.

On the whole, 11 teams and 22 drivers participate in the GEN3 race car, believed to be a huge leap in technological development and innovation. The arrival of Formula E in India is expected to be a shot in the arm for the country’s automotive industry and bring more investment in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The ticket sale for the same has already begun.
