While the year 2023 brought sadness to BTS' fans, known as the ARMY, as all the members enlisted in the South Korean military, the Idols ensured to keep their fans entertained. Whether through the release of solo albums or sharing content from their global travels, BTS remained actively engaged with their ARMY.

Despite the members enlisting in the military, they continued to release music, evoking emotions and intensifying the longing of their fans.

In 2023, ARMYs experienced a year that was both booked and busy. Alongside the musical endeavors, the boys added an extra layer of excitement to the year. Let's reminisce about some iconic BTS moments from 2023 that the ARMY can't forget.

J-Hope in Times Square:

The year kicked off with the rapper celebrating the new year with a performance at Times Square.

Agust D tour

The tour commenced on April 26, 2023, in New York City, and concluded on August 6, 2023, in Seoul, South Korea. It proved to be a highly successful solo tour, establishing a historic milestone as the highest-grossing tour by an Asian soloist in the history of the United States.

Suga with Jungkook, Jimin, and RM at D-DAY finale concert

Certainly, the memory of Min Yoongi surprising the ARMY during his solo D-DAY concert in Seoul, bringing his fellow members on stage to perform their solo songs, is unforgettable.

SUCHWITA episodes

ARMY cherished the moment when SUGA embarked on a new journey during Chapter 2, initiating his talk show. This platform provided fans with a deeper understanding of the members' affection for each other and even a chance to see other celebrities and their songs.

Shirtless BTS in Chapter 2

When V appeared on SUGA's show 'SUCHWITA,' he humorously claimed that Chapter 2 was not about going "shirtless," which turned out to be a playful exaggeration. Adding to the intrigue, Yoongi also revealed the location of his tattoo during the show.

V’s dog Yeontan's debut

The pup made its debut on the MCountdown stage and even managed to gather the highest number of views on its fancam.

Weverse lives

ARMY was treated to various live broadcasts, whether just for the fun of it, or to share new music, some even featuring moments of Jungkook sleeping. Some of these live broadcasts also served as farewell messages.

The youngest member of BTS pleasantly surprised ARMY at Times Square. Even without disclosing the location, fans instinctively understood where he would be, and the idol performed all the songs from his solo album "Golden," delighting and entertaining fans.

Fan meetings

All the members had either fan meetings or calls with ARMY, adding a special touch to their solo careers.

Member enlistment:

All members have now enlisted in the South Korean military, with the last four, RM and V enlisted on December 12 and Jimin and Jungkook on December 13, 2023. 

Despite their military service, all members who have renewed their contract with BigH|it are scheduled to be released in 2025, and they have promised the ARMY a get-together once they return.
