From Lata Mangeshkar, KK to Raju Srivastav, Tunisha Sharma: Celebs who bid adieu in 2022

Lata Mangeshkar

The death of Lata Mangeshkar somehow reunited music lovers across the world to pay respect and tribute to the Queen of Melody. Born on September 28, 1929, the ace singer and performer took her last breath at the age of 92 on February 6, 2022.

Bappi Lahiri

Soon after Lata Mangeshkar's death, another tragedy hit, especially, in the Bollywood industry as Bappi Lahiri, who was fondly called Bappi Da, breathed his last on February 15, 2022.

Bappi Da died due to obstructive sleep apnea at the age of 69. 

Pandit Birju Maharaj

Pandit Birju Maharaj is one of the most loved and respected Kathak dancers and performers in India. Born on February 4, 1938, he took his last breath on January 17, 2022.

Apart from the worldwide performances and recognitions, the ace artists had choreographed songs in a few films for some major Indian actors such as Deepika Padukone in Bajirao Mastani's Mohe Rang Do Laal, Madhuri Dixit in Devdas and Kamal Haasan in Vishwaroopam. 

KK

Cinema and music lovers got saddened by the news of Lata Mangeshkar and Bappi Lahiri's death, however, the melodious singer KK's sudden death shocked the whole country.

Krishnakumar Kunnath, famously known as KK, has given voice to multiple blockbuster songs in multiple films and languages. Some of his popular and most loved tracks are Dil Ibaadat from Tum Mile, Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno and more.

On May 31, 2022, soon after giving the live performance in a concert at Kolkata, the 53-year-old artist suffered a heart attack and died.

Bob Saget

Bob Saget's Danny Tanner is the most beloved character from the famous sitcom Full House. He has also been seen hosting a few hilarious stints on America’s Funniest Home Videos. The beloved actor died on January 9, 2022 due to blunt head trauma.

Sidhu Moosewala

Famous Punjabi singer-rapper, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu's death is another shocking event not only for his die-hard fans in India but all over the world. 

Popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala was assassinated on May 29, 2022 in his car in Jawaharke village, Mansa district.

Raju Srivastav

Satya Prakash Srivastav, known on stage as Raju Srivastav was famous for performing on stage as a comedian with different characters.  

In August, after suffering a sudden heart attack in the gym, the famous comedian went underwent angioplasty and remained on a ventilator for 41 days before passing away on September 21, 2022.

Tunisha Sharma

Almost at the end of 2022, another tragic news came from the entertainment industry. Famous young actor Tunisha Sharma known for working in films like Fitoor and shows such as AliBaba hanged herself on the sets of a TV serial and died on December 24.

She was known for her great talent and charm among the fans.
