2025 saw close to 250 films getting released but only a few clicked. Here is the list of films that surprised the trade with its box office number. Check it out.

The year 2025 is finally coming to an end, and close to 250 films have hit the screens. While a few biggies rocked the box office, there were also several films that ended up as sleeper hits. From Raju Weds Rambai to Mad Square, here are the top seven Telugu sleeper hits of 2025.

Raju Weds Rambai tops the list, as not many even knew that such a film had come out in the first place. However, when it was released, it shocked one and all. Made on a budget of just Rs 3 crore, the romantic drama made close to Rs 15 crore, as per tracking portal Sacnilk. Directed by Saailu Kampati, the film had Akhil Raj and Tejaswini Rao as the main leads. Based on a true story, the film’s highlight was Chaitu Jonnalagadda, who played the main villain.

Court: State vs A Nobody was backed by star hero Nani and had Priyadarshi as the main lead. Courtroom dramas are rare in Telugu cinema, but the manner in which director Ram Jagadeesh narrated the film in a gripping way made it a smash hit. Made on a budget of Rs 5 crore, Court made close to Rs 55 crore as per Sacnilk, ending as a blockbuster at the box office.

Mad Square is the sequel to the hit film MAD. Backed by the makers of DJ Tillu, the film was directed by Kalyan Shankar and had Jr NTR’s brother-in-law, Narne Nithin, as one of the leads. The over-the-top comedy and funny narrative made this film a sleeper hit. Mad Square made close to Rs 65 crore as per Sacnilk.

Anaganaga is a small film that skipped its theatrical release because the main lead, Sumanth Akkineni, did not have a proper market. Released directly on ETV Win, the social drama won the hearts of many with its emotional narration. Sumanth's performance, sensitive narration on the education system, and a massive twist in the second half make this film a sleeper hit of 2025

One of the biggest sleeper hits of 2025 was undoubtedly Little Hearts, directed by Sai Marthand. The film had YouTuber Mouli in the main lead, and initially, no one paid much attention to the film or its promos. However, once released, the comedy caper became a talking point and ended as a blockbuster. Shivani Nagaram played the female lead, and the film made close to Rs 50 crore at the box office.

K-Ramp is Kiran Abbavaram’s new film, directed by Jains Nani. From day one, the film was termed a mass masala entertainer. Reviews were poor, but the general audience and masses loved it. One particular song went viral on social media, changing the film’s fate and turning it into a sleeper hit.

Last but not least, The Girlfriend, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, ended as a decent hit at the box office. The female-centric film was directed by Rahul Ravindran and also had Deekshith Shetty as the male lead. Though the film was panned by a few critics, the romantic drama made around Rs 30 crore as per Sacnilk.
