Sequels profit from an eager fan base since those who have seen the previous film or films in the series are interested in seeing what happens to the franchise going ahead. The year 2023 will see a lot of sequels of Bollywood films. From Salman Khan's Tiger 3 to Ajay Devgn's Singham 3 and many more, the most eagerly awaited sequels to several blockbuster films will be released this year. Let's now discuss some of the much anticipated Bollywood sequels of 2023.

Tiger 3:

One of Bollywood's most talked-about and eagerly awaited movies is the next Tiger franchise movie starring Salman Khan. Since its announcement, Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, has received a lot of attention. The film wil also star Emraan Hashmi as a baddie. The movie is a follow-up to Salman Khan's 2012 movie Ek Tha Tiger, which hit theatres on August 15. The third installment of the franchise will be released in November 2023, much to the excitement of the audience.

Dream Girl 2:

Dream Girl 2, a quirky upcoming Hindi film in 2023, stars Ayushmann Khurrana. This comedy-drama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, is made under the direction of Raaj Shaandilya. The movie will be released on July 7, 2023. In September 2019, the first installment was released.

Singham 3: 

Rohit Shetty directorial Singham was released in 2011 and had Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The sequel, Singham Returns, was released in 2014. Both the films were loved by the audience. Now, Ajay Devgn, on January 1, 2023, announced that he and Rohit Shetty had just finished reading the script for Singham 3 and were excited to start filming.

OMG 2:

OMG starring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar was much loved by the audience. Now, the satirical comedy-drama starring Akshay Kumar will return the following year with a spiritual sequel. Kumar will play Lord Shiva this time. Arun Govil, known for his work on the Ramayana, has been chosen to reprise his role as Lord Rama. The 2012 movie's sequel will also include Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi.

Aashiqui 3:

Kartik Aaryan made the announcement that he would be in the third installment of the Aashiqui romance series. The lead actress has not yet been announced and yet the announcement grabbed a lot of attention. The sequel will be led by Anurag Basu this time.

Fukrey 3:

Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and actor Farhan Akhtar announced the third installment of the comedy franchise following the success of Fukrey and Fukrey 2. Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadda, Manjot Singh, and Priya Anand will all return from the original cast. 

Krrish 4:

The fourth installment of the superhero franchise Krrish is now in production and will soon be released on theatre screens. Indian superhero Hrithik Roshan will return in the role. On the other hand, little is known about the rest of the movie's cast.

Gadar 2:

Sakina and Tara Singh's enduring love is making a comeback on the big screen after 22 years. When Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released in 2001, it enjoyed box office success. Gadar 2: The Katha Continues will mark Ameesha Patel's return to Bollywood cinema after a long absence. Currently scheduled for release in August 2023, the follow-up to the popular Hindi film stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in new roles.
