Deven Bhojani spoke about his varied work in Taaza Khabar, Scoop and now, Black, White & Gray: Love Kills. "I agree that for TV I have done more comic roles, which I'm very proud of because very few people do comedy and I feel lucky that I'm one of those rare ones but I also feel I'm a versatile actor and my that side is yet to be explored fully," Deven said. For Taaza Khabar, the actor said, 'Anda Bakri,' before correcting how Mehboob bhai is 'Anda Bakery Wala.' He then recalled playing a guy full of attitude in Scoop, before adding how he would be seen in the role of a reporter in his next show. Happy to get variety of roles, Deven shared how Love Kills is one of his most favourite roles so far. "I've not even come close to trying such a role before," he confesses for the upcoming SonyLIV series (to be out on OTTplay Premium on May 1).

While talking about his upcoming series, Deven Bhojani recalled the circumstances under which he was offered the project. Calling the crew his 'dear friends,' Deven recalled getting approached for the project because they had seen him beyond the comic roles. The actor heard the narration and got excited to learn more through the concept and format narration alone. Once he walked into the office, the Udan Chhoo actor got to know about the character he would play and he was sold. "Arre wow, phir toh mazza aa jaayega," was his initial reaction, that was instantly followed by, "Chalo yeh jaldi shuru karo." The actor, who has a comparatively briefer role in the series, revealed that the crew hesitated to approach him because he had taken up main lead roles. Once he assured them that the length does not matter as much as the impact the character leaves, he called it a win-win situation.
