Gaalivaana: Nandini Rai plays a cop in ZEE5's upcoming web show, here's her first look

Actress and former Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Nandini Rai, who was seen in films like Maaya, Mosagallaku Mosagadu and Silly Fellows, has been smartly utilising the many opportunities presented by the digital medium in the recent years. While ZEE5's High Priestess marked her digital debut, she followed it up with impressive performances in aha's shows like Metro Kathalu and In the Name of God later. She also made a brief appearance in Srikanth's show Shootout at Alair for ZEE5 as well. 

And it looks like ZEE5 is her lucky mascot in the digital medium as she yet again will be seen in a web series for the platform titled Gaalivaana. Gaalivaana, to stream on April 14 on ZEE5, is an adaptation of a European drama directed by Sharan Koppisetty and jointly produced by BBC India and Northstar Entertainment. Apart from Nandini, the show features an intriguing lineup comprising Sai Kumar, Radhika Sarathkumar, Chandini Chowdary, Chaitanya Krishna, Sharanya Pradeep, Thagubothu Ramesh, Surabhi Jayachandra Varma, Sri Lakshmi and Ashritha Vemuganti. 

The first look of Nandini Rai in Gaalivaana was launched by ZEE5 earlier this week. Nandini Rai is turning a ferocious cop in Gaalivaana, where she's cast in a role named after herself, Nandini, a senior circle inspector. The actress' first look has her offering an intense stare while in her khaki clad avatar. She is playing a cop for the first time in her career and going by the promos and the first look, she has fit the part to perfection. One has to wait for the show to know more about Nandini's part.

Apart from Gaalivaana, Nandini Rai will be seen in an anthology for ZEE5, to be directed by Teja. She has already finished shooting for it; an official announcement about the show may be expected shortly. She is also producing a show for Netflix, to be directed by Karuna Kumar.
