Gaami on OTT: You can stream Vishwak Sen's mystery thriller right now

The latest mystery thriller, Gaami, starring Vishwak Sen in the lead, made its debut on streaming platforms on Friday. The film is now available for streaming in multiple languages on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.

Gaami opened in cinemas on March 8 and garnered positive reviews. However, the film fell short of making a serious dent at the box office. It marked the directorial debut of Vidyadhar Kagita, who made a name for himself as a short filmmaker.

Gaami received good feedback from critics. However, these positive reviews didn't translate into footfalls in cinemas. The film also faced tough challenges from other movies at the box office. The Telugu version of the Malayalam blockbuster Premalu received a rousing reception at the box office in the Telugu states and performed well in terms of ticket sales, on par with a Telugu original film. For the first time, a Malayalam film posed a serious challenge to a Telugu film at the box office, signifying rapidly evolving trends in cinemas.

Gaami garners high praise

Premalu also benefited from the strong promotional efforts of its distributor, SS Karthikeya. He roped in his father, director SS Rajamouli, to lead the promotions, which paid off rich dividends. So much so that Premalu became the biggest-ever Malayalam hit at the Telugu box office.

In light of Premalu's commercial success, Vishwak Sen also expressed, with a hint of frustration, a call for industry leaders to watch and support his film too.

Even though Gaami didn't set the box office on fire, it managed to emerge as a profitable venture for its producers. The film also garnered a lot of praise for Vishwak Sen's efforts to create movies with fresh and unique ideas.

Telugu superstar Jr NTR called Vishwak Sen "a daredevil" while praising Gaami and expressed his confidence that Vishwak will play a significant role in elevating the stature of Telugu cinema further.
