Gadar 2 box office collection Day 1: Sunny Deol starrer breaks multiple records, gets blockbuster opening by minting Rs 40 crore

Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma is finally out in theatres and has been claimed as a blockbuster and the second-biggest opening in 2023. Fans loved witnessing Deol in action after a long time and called the film a nostalgic and pure delight. With all the attention and admiration, the action-drama movie has minted around Rs 40 crore on its first day.

According to a report on Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 has surpassed multiple records and gathered Rs 40 crore on the opening day. Not only that but the latest action flick has got the second-highest opening of this year and has broken the single-screen record. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan still holds the record for the biggest opening of 2023 by minting Rs 55 crore on day 1.

Gadar 2 has been competing with OMG 2 in cinemas. However, the latter was only able to mint a decent sum with mixed reactions from the critic and fans.

Fans loved witnessing Deol packing punches, while all the songs and a cross-border love story made them feel nostalgic. One of the cinephiles penned that after watching Sunny Paaji on the big screen felt really nice and Gadar 2 has all the elements of a blockbuster. He also mentioned that the background music of the film is powerful and so is the dialogue delivery.

Helmed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is out in theatres now. Meanwhile, post its theatrical run, the action-drama movie will be out on ZEE5 to stream online.
