In a historic feat, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 has minted over Rs 228 crores at the Indian Box Office in just five days and collected about Rs 56 crores on Independence Day.
The movie has shattered records and emerged as an unprecedented cinematic triumph, setting a new benchmark in the world of Indian cinema. On August 15, it proudly claimed the highest collections in the past two decades.
The numbers speak volumes, with a staggering net collection of Rs. 55.40 crore achieved just yesterday, contributing to an impressive total net collection of Rs. 228.98 crore. Gadar 2 has undoubtedly etched its name in the annals of cinematic history, setting a standard that will be cherished for years to come.
With an astounding footfall of Rs. 1.55 crore and more in just the first five days, Gadar 2 has achieved a milestone as the biggest non-solo release of all time. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 entered the Rs 200 crore club despite facing tough competition from Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2. OMG 2, too, has minted over Rs 68 crore within a span of just five days of its release.

Interesting storyline: Talking about the basic plot, the story encircles the time of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, wherein Sunny Deol as Tara Singh returns to Pakistan to bring his son, Charanjeet, back home.
