He came, he saw, he conquered... and is still conquering. We are indeed talking about Sunny Deol and his ‘tornado’ of a film ‘Gadar 2’, which is definitely unstoppable at the box-office. Ever since the time the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer got released, there has just been no looking back for the film. For the ‘still unversed’, ‘Gadar 2’ happens to be the sequel of the smash hit ‘Gadar’, which had also starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles.

Uttam Singh is upset

Speaking of ‘Gadar’, whenever anyone utters the film’s title, besides the superlative performances by the entire star cast, one is also reminded about the iconic song ‘Main nikla gaddi leke’, which is evergreen even today. The same song had also been featured in ‘Gadar 2’ as well. Even though everyone was happy to relive the ‘Gadar’ moment and memories, there was one person who was definitely not smiling. He is none other than the accomplished music composer Uttam Singh, who, incidentally was the brain behind the evergreen music of the track ‘Main nikla gaddi leke’.

Uttam Singh speaks

In an interview with Amar Ujala, Uttam Singh (in Hindi) said that they (the film’s makers) had not called him for ‘Gadar 2’ and that he doesn’t have the habit of calling and asking people for work. The music composer furthered his irritation stating that they (the film’s makers) had not only used two of his songs, but also the background music which he had composed. Uttam Singh slammed the makers of ‘Gadar 2’ by saying that they should have at least had the decency / etiquette to ask him once and speak to him before using his tracks in the film.

Gadar 2's box-office collections

As for the film ‘Gadar 2’, as said earlier, there seems to be no stopping it at the box office. It has already crossed the magical Rs. 400 crore mark at the box-office.
