Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel is the most anticipated action-thriller of the year. Directed by Anil Sharma, the upcoming sequel also features Utkarsh Sharma in a pivotal role. The makers have finally dropped the first look teaser of the upcoming film that sees Deol as venturesome Tara Singh.

The latest teaser takes us to the year 1971 and begins with showcasing a few locations in Lahore, Pakistan. A woman from the background can be heard saying, "He is the son-in-law of Pakistan. Give him a presage of coconut and welcome him, otherwise, he will take whole Lahore in dowry."

The next montage sees a huge gathering of people in a riot singing slogans against India during the Crush India Movement in Pakistan in 1971 and chanting vicious taglines.

At the same time, Deol's Tara Singh steps foot in Pakistan's Lahore after arriving from India on a bus. After twirling a handpump in the 2001 film, the veteran action star can be seen spinning around a giant wheel with his bare hands.

In the end, Deol appears in a graveyard praying in front of a grave.

Ahead of the official teaser, in January this year, Deol shared his rugged look in a poster from Gadar 2. He took to his official Instagram handle and unveiled the image with a special caption that reads, "Hindustan Zindabaad Hai….Zindabaad Tha.. .aur Zindabaad Rahega! This Independence Day, we bring to you the biggest sequel in Indian cinema after two decades. #Gadar2 releasing in Cinemas on 11th August 2023 #HappyRepublicDay (sic)."
