Gadar: Ek Prem Katha Trailer: Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Amrish Puri starrer to re-release in theatres on THIS date

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is one of the blockbuster films of 2001. Directed by Anil Sharma, the Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Amrish Puri starrer is all set to be back in cinemas after over two decades. To announce the re-release of this epic flick, the makers have dropped the old trailer video again in 4K.

The latest trailer video begins with Deol's Tara Singh walking with his wife Sakeena (Patel) and their son towards Puri's Mayor Ashraf Ali to ask for the acceptance of their relationship in front of the whole society. The action star gets asked to accept another religion in order to keep his relationship valid and he does. However, as soon as they tell him to say something against his country India, he bursts into anger.

The next few montages witness the action-packed and thrilling fighting sequences between Deol and many goons in India when he saves the actress at her young age as well as in Pakistan when goes to bring his love back. 

Moving on, Deol and Patel also appear in a few romantic scenes, while in the end the hero's epic 'handpump' scene can be witnessed. 

Makers release the new trailer along with a special caption that reads, "22 saal baad Tara Singh aur Sakina ki prem katha phirse aa gayi hai aap sabke dilon mein apni jagah banane. On the other hand, the sequel of the Deol starrer titled Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, which was announced officially announced in October 2021, is currently in the works.

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which also has Lillete Dubey, Vivek Shauq, Utkarsh Sharma and Suresh Oberoi in key roles, is re-releasing in theatres on June 9, 2023.
