Game Changer is one of the most-awaited films in Telugu cinema as Ram Charan has joined hands with star director Shankar for the first time in his career. The film has been in the making for over three years now and is yet to wrap up its shoot.
Meanwhile, Amazon Prime revealed that they have grabbed the digital rights of the film at a whopping price. We, at OTTplay, have come to know from one of of sources that Amazon had to shell out close to Rs 130 core for the OTT rights of the film. This price includes the rights for Hindi and other South languages of Game Changer.
Ram Charan plays an IAS officer in this film which is a period drama. Kiara Advani romances Ram Charan for the second time in her career. As the release date is yet to be locked, the digital release date of Game Changer is also not yet confirmed.
More than 20% of the shoot is yet to be completed and the shoot is going on at a brisk pace in Vizag as of now. Shankar has been working on two of his projects Indian 2 and Game Changer simultaneously and that is the reason both projects have been delayed.
Dil Raju is producing Game Changer on a massive note and the first single will be released on March 27, 2024, which also marks Ram Charan's birthday. Game Changer is one of the biggest films of Ram Charan budget-wise and close to Rs 300 crore is being spent on this film.
Thaman has composed the music for this film which will be out during Sankranthi 2025, as per the news. Fans of Ram Charan are upset that Game Changer has been in the making for the longest time and have put pressure on Dil Raju to announce the date.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan has also signed yet another film under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana and the film has been tentatively titled Peddi. The shooting of the film will start in June 2024, as per the news. Watch this space for more updates.
