Two years after the end of Game of Thrones, a series that is loved by people across the globe, Kit Harington comes out with shocking revelations during the shoot with the HBO series. He addresses how it impacted his mental health altogether.

The actor stated that he went through a series of emotions post the show and faced mental health difficulties during the end of it. Kit also said he thinks it has got directly to do with the nature of the show and it’s something he has been doing for years.

Harington appeared on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show. In the episode published on Monday (August 2) he talked about the time he took after the show wrapped. Kit revealed he sort of took a break after the long-running series ended and he did not want to work for a year. He wanted to concentrate and invest some time in himself and is also grateful he did that.

Harington who will next be seen in Modern Love season two added that his perspective on Game of Thrones has evolved and a part of the journey ever since it got finished was just becoming part of that show. He shared that he is not running away from it, instead, owning it and being proud of everything related to it.

The Emmy winning majestic show had a cultural impact which is one of the main reasons why he looks back at it very fondly, he added. Kit said his child is a direct result of Game of Thrones as he married Rose Leslie who played the role of Ygritte in the show in 2018. Kit is extremely close with all his friends from the show. The show did nothing but wonders for him, he said.

This is certainly not the only time Kit has talked about his mental health surrounding the show, he has talked about it before as well. Back in 2019, he had entered rehab to address these challenges even.
