According to Variety, House of the Dragon's 10-episode season cost under INR 153 crores per episode, which is much more than the series' last season.

In contrast, the controversial eighth season of the main series had Rs 153 crores per episode budget. It is also more in total than the previously stated INR 1200 crores spent on Marvel's initial surge of Disney Plus series, which include Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision.

The final golden era of Targaryens in Westeros, played by Matt Smith, Emma D'Arcy and Paddy Considine, finished shooting in February and author George R.R. Martin is already a major fan of what he's seen.

Martin wrote on his blog that he has seen rough cuts of the show and he is liking them. The script, directing, and acting all appear to be on point. He sincerely hopes viewers enjoy these as much as he does. He appreciates the showrunner Ryan Condal and co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik and their crew as well as the incredible cast.
