Kannada actor Ganesh, who scored a big win last year with the family entertainer Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, was looking at switching it up as far as his movies go, with projects like Yours Sincerely, Ram and Pinaka. Both these films were said to be different from the set format followed in Ganesh films, which was an exciting prospect, reckoned fans. But then came news of yet another collaboration and this time, they are not pleased.
Ganesh, according to the latest buzz, is set to work with lyricist-director Chethan Kumar, whose last directorial was the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s final film, James. Chethan has not made another film since then, what with James hitting the Rs 100 crore club. Back then, although there were whispers about James not being a befitting farewell film for Puneeth, these were hushed, given that high emotions were running at the time.
Now, though, netizens are finally speaking up and openly stating that James was one of the worst films in Puneeth’s career. Prior to James, Chethan had collaborated with Roaring Star Sriimurali on Bharjari, which had failed at the box office. Given the filmmaker’s track record, fans have urged Ganesh to rethink his decision, is he has indeed considered working with Chethan.

“Ganesh is a hero who can make audiences laugh and cry and yet, he chooses the worst scripts always”, “Aavesham, Padakalam, Love Today, Dragon type movie madi… hit confirm”, “James was dabba movie. Bharjari was jaatre”, “And then they blame audiences for not coming to theatres”, “Disaster loading”, Jagath Jaatre”, were among some of the comments that came in for a report on this collaboration.
However, some netizens saw the bright side in this union, stating that Ganesh may actually be a good choice for Chethan’s type of film. It is said that the official announcement of the film will happen shortly. Meanwhile, Ganesh is also working on the comeback cinema of lyricist-filmmaker Arasu Anthare, who made Love in Mandya many years ago.
