Gangs of Godavari box office collection day 2 - Vishwak Sen is one of the bankable stars in Telugu cinema. With each film of his, Vishwak Sen is seeing decent occupancy for all his films. Gangs of Godavari is Vishwak Sen's latest film, which hit the screens on May 31, 2024. Directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the film opened with disappointing reviews from all over.

But as Vishwak Sen has a good fan following, the film's opening was impressive. Gangs of Godavari made Rs 8.2 crore gross on day one worldwide. The second day has also been impressive, as the village drama has made Rs 12.3 crore in the first two days of its release.

These are impressive numbers despite the film getting bad reviews. As there are no other biggies, the audience is watching the film, which has Anjali and Neha Sshetty as the female leads.

Yuvan Shankar Raja makes his comeback to Tollywood with Gangs of Godavari

Gangs of Godavari was released alongside two other medium-range films, Gam Gam Ganesha and Bhaje Vaayu Vegam. As these two films are not posing any threat, Gangs of Godavari is seeing a decent occupancy. Once the weekdays start tomorrow, we need to see how Gangs of Godavari will fare in Telugu states.

The music of Gangs of Godavari is a smash hit as Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the tunes. Sithara Entertainments is the production house behind the film, and they announced a sequel to the film at the press interaction.

As the first part did not get proper attention, there is still doubt whether the sequel will be made or not. One of the biggest complaints regarding Gangs of Godavari is that the narration was slow and the drama was not elevated properly by the director.

However, Vishwak Sen's performance as a local youth who became an MLA was impressive. The occupancy for Gangs of Godavari is also neat on Sunday and a few night shows are also full. Only time will tell how much the period drama will make in the days to come. Watch this space for more.
