Gangs of Godavari, Guntur Kaaram, Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, Saindhav - Telugu cinema welcomes 2024 in style with new posters

Festival days and national holidays are synonymous with several announcements, launches of promotional material in Telugu cinema and this New Year was no different. We take a look at some of the striking posters released through the day.

Gangs of Godavari

In the latest poster, Vishwak Sen is surrounded by a village head and a group of henchmen. Some of the popular faces in the poster include Goparaju Ramana, Madhu Nandan, Praveen and Hyper Aadi. Gangs of Godavari releases in theatres on March 8. Neha Sshetty and Anjali too essay crucial roles

Sri Ranga Neethulu

Starring Suhas, Ruhani Sharma, Viraj Ashwin, and Karthik Ratnam, the coming-of-age drama centres on three characters in their mid-20s. The new poster features all the lead actors in the film. Directed by Praveen Kumar VSS, the teaser of the hyperlink drama will be out on January 5.

Operation Valentine

In the New Year poster released by the team of Operation Valentine, Varun Tej wears his headgear while seated in a plane. Manushi Chhillar makes her Telugu debut with the bilingual aviation drama, directed by a debutant Shakti Pratap Singh Hada. The film releases in theatres on February 16.

Bhimaa

In the latest poster of Kannada filmmaker A Harsha’s cop saga Bhimma, Gopichand dons a khaki outfit while holding handcuffs with blood around his wrists. Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malvika Sharma play the female leads in the film, produced by KK Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts.

Geethanjali Malli Vachindi

In the special New Year poster of the sequel to the popular horror comedy, Anjali, in her first look from the film, is seen as a classical dancer, donning a yellow traditional sari in a dilapidated building. Shiva Thurlapati directs the film that also stars Satyam Rajesh, Sunil, Srinivas Reddy and others.

Telusu Kada

In the latest poster of Neeraja Kona’s directorial debut, one can notice the silhouettes of Siddu Jonnalagadda and Raashii Khanna in the backdrop of a beach where the lead characters hold their hands. Srinidhi Shetty plays the other female lead in the film, produced by People Media Factory.

Saindhav

Venkatesh as the middle-aged father is accompanied by his on-screen daughter in the special poster where they’re pointing their fingers towards something. Sailesh Kolanu is the director of the January 13 release that also features Shraddha Srinath. The poster confirms that the trailer will be out on January 3.

Shashtipoorthi

The new poster of the intergenerational drama brings together two couples in the film. While Ladies Tailor actors Rajendra Prasad and Archana look very much like a lovestruck couple, Rupesh Chowdhary and Akanksha Singh are seen conversing with one another. Pavan Prabha is the director of the film.

Ashok Galla 2

Hero fame Ashok Galla appears in a complete action avatar in his upcoming mass entertainer, whose story is written by Prasanth Varma while Arjun Jandyala is the director. The poster confirms that the title and the teaser would be out soon.

Eagle

Ravi Teja looks dapper, while donning an overcoat and a hat in this new classy poster from the action thriller, set amid a lakeside backdrop. Karthik Gattamneni helms the January 13 release featuring a host of actors including Kavya Thapar, Anupama Parameswaran, Madhoo and Navdeep.

Guntur Kaaram

Amid the series of poster-launches from team Guntur Kaaram, the sepia-tinted New Year poster has Mahesh Babu smiling to his heart's content, while sporting formal wear. Trivikram directs the film which has music by S Thaman. Sreeleela and Meenakshii Chaudhary are the female leads in the January 12 release.
