Anurag Kulkarni croons for the Yuvan Shankar Raja composition which has lyrics by Sri Harsha Emani

Gangs of Godavari is a village drama directed by Krishna Chaitanya and produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the production houses that came up with films like Jersey, DJ Tillu, Butta Bomma previously. Vishwak Sen, Neha Sshetty, Anjali play the lead roles in the drama that’s gearing up for a December release.
The first single from the film, Suttamla Soosi, was launched today in the presence of the cast, crew in a private college in Hyderabad today. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music for the drama. Anurag Kulkarni has crooned for the folksy melody lyricised by Sri Harsha Emani. The team interacted with students and the leads even grooved to the number on the stage.
‘Addala Vonila..Aakasavanila..Godaari Gattupai Merisavu Manila.. Peddintidaanila.. Bangaru Ganila..’ the lead, who plays a fisherman, describes his lady love as they meet across the prominent landmarks in their village. He’s head over heels in love with a woman and expresses his feelings for her in various forms through the song.
The lead pair displays terrific on-screen chemistry as they groove to the track choreographed by Eshwar Penti. The scenic locales in the Godavari region is one of the major highlights of the number. The use of the tradition percussion instruments to lend a rustic touch enhances its appeal. The lively dance moves, cinematography and the music ensure it a good recall value.
Krishna Chaitanya has also written the story for the film whose crew comprises cinematographer Anith Madhadi, editor Navin Nooli, costume designer Rajini Raaja, action choreographer Prudhvi, production designer Gandhi Nadikudikar. Aditya Music has acquired the audio rights and Srikara Studios is the presenter. Vishwak Sen also announced his OTT debut Family Dhamaka yesterday.
