Gangubai Kathiawadi: After Netflix, the Alia Bhatt starrer to stream on THIS OTT platform from May 7

The Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi gathered immense applause and praise all over the world. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was released in theatres on February 25 and dropped on Netflix on April 26 for digital streaming. Now the biographical drama movie is all set to be available on another digital platform to watch online. 

Recently, Gangubai Kathiawadi has bagged the top position in the category of the non-English movies on Netflix globally. Not only Alia but other actors including Ajay Devgn, Seema Pahwa, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz and Jim Sarbh received praise for their performances in the film.

The makers have recently released multiple BTS videos from the movie. In one of the videos titled Making Of Kamathipura, the filmmaker and the Haider fame production designer duo Amit Ray and Subrata Chakraborty unveiled the details behind the set designs to bring Kamathipura to life.

Meanwhile, in another behind the scenes video, the makers unveiled how much effort and the number of people it took to shoot Dholida. The montage also unveils how much it took Alia to get a hang of the hook steps, while the choreographer, Kruti Mahesh, who also choreographed Ghoomar alongside Jyoti D Tommar for Bhansali's epic drama movie Padmaavat, revealed how difficult was it to frame the whole video song. The video also features Ranveer Singh, who gatecrashed the shoot of Alia Bhatt's groovy folk track in the film.

The ace moviemaker adapted the film from a part of S Hussain Zaidi's 2011 book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, which is loosely based on the life of a real-life sex worker-turned-social reformer.
