Gangubai Kathiawadi: Alia Bhatt is 'loaded' with joy on her film's Netflix debut

Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi is now out on the OTT platform, Netflix. And the actor of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film is overjoyed with the digital debut of her movie. The actor took to social media to share a reel of her. She is seen travelling in her car at night with a text on the video reading, "Gangu loading" and later, she is seen on a terrace, all smiles. 

She posted the video with the caption: "Movie night in🌙 #GangubaiKathiawadi streaming on Netflix🍿🤍" (sic)

Her comment section on the post is being filled with red heart emojis by her fans. 

The film had a successful theatrical run, breaking records at the box office. And, after earning a lot of love and praise from fans, it is now available online on the streaming giant in Hindi and Telugu. 

Earlier in her statement, Netflix India's VP-Content Monika Shergill had expressed her excitement while announcing that film will make its digital debut on the platform. They hope that their subscribers will enjoy this masterpiece, which was made with a lot of love by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and features powerful and memorable performances by Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and many more.  

The film is based on S. Hussain Zaid's book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. It follows the rise of a humble girl from a small town in Gujarat, who elopes with her boyfriend to Mumbai to fulfill her dream of becoming an actor but ends up running a brothel and ruling the biggest red-light area in Mumbai. The film combines the best performances, music, artwork, and graphics to elicit a wide range of emotions. Sanjay Leela Bhansali wrote and directed the film, which is produced by Bhansali Productions. The film also features Ajay Devgn, Jim Sarbh, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and Seema Bhargava, among others.
