Gangubai Kathiawadi box office report day 1: Alia Bhatt starrer storms to the theatres with ₹10.5 Cr opening

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi stormed to the theatres as it opened at Rs 10.5 Cr on day one. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has already been estimated to collect around ₹ 9.50-10 crore on its opening day. In one of the recent videos, the lead actress can be seen visiting her fans late at night on Friday to witness the response to her latest outing herself.

In one of the IG stories shared by the official Instagram handle of Bhansali Productions, Alia can be seen visiting the audience inside the theatres and clicking pictures in the famous 'Gangubai' pose as well.

While the production giant has shared another post on the social media site to inform the fans and followers about Gangubai Kathiawadi's first-day collection. "GANGUBAI ZINDABAD AT THE BOX-OFFICE

The 28-year-old actress was also seen doing rounds of Mumbai in a specially customized vehicle that featured giant Gangubai Kathiawadi posters.

The biographical crime-drama movie, which has been adapted from a part of Hussain Zaidi's book titled the Mafia Queens of Mumbai, was also screened at the Berlin Film Festival ahead of its release. 

Bhansali's latest venture has also been seen getting into a lot of trouble before its release due to its sensitive subject that talks about the life of Kamathipura's sex workers.

Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo role of Rahim Lala and has Shantanu Maheshwari in his Bollywood debut. Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz and Jim Sarbh are also a few important parts of the film playing pivotal characters.
