Gaslight announcement video: Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, Chitrangada Singh's murder mystery looks intriguing

Gaslight, a suspenseful new thriller from Disney+ Hotstar, will be released soon. On March 31, 2023, a film directed by Pavan Kirpalani and produced by Ramesh Taurani, Tips Films Ltd., and Akshai Puri under the banner of 12th Street Entertainment will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. Gaslight stars Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, Chitrangda Singh, Rahul Dev, and Akshay Oberoi.

The movie, directed by Pawan Kripalani, would be Sara Ali Khan's second OTT release following Atrangi Re.

The makers have now released the announcement video from the film. Sharing the video on her social media, Sara Ali Khan wrote, "Imagine if you’re stuck in an elevator Suddenly lights out no generator 💡

In relation to this, a source had previously told PeepingMoon that the psychological thriller Gaslight's concept is so original that it might not be appealing to theatregoers. The creators chose to release it digitally because they think this genre of film has historically performed better on OTT than in conventional theatres. Additionally, they think that doing so will safeguard their financial interests.

The horror-comedy Bhoot Police, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez, was directed by Pawan Kripalani last. His most recent thriller, Phobia, starred Radhika Apte. The unusual topic of agoraphobia as a psychological illness was addressed in the movie.

Meanwhile, Sara's last two movies, Coolie No. 1 and Atrangi Re, went straight to Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar instead of the big screen.
