Mumbai-based actress, model Gehna Sippy is gearing up for her Telugu cinema debut with Chor Bazaar, where she's paired alongside filmmaker Puri Jagannadh's son Akash Puri. Having started her career as a model, the 21-year-old has acted in a handful of ad films to date. Commemorating her birthday, the first look of her character from the film was unveiled today. Gehna is dressed as a next door girl in the first look, where she's wearing a white chudidaar paired with a multi-coloured dupatta and is seen walking on a busy road on a sunny day, holding a mobile in her hand.
Gehna looks pretty and confident in the first look, which is certain to build expectations about her character, Simran, in the film. Chor Bazaar is directed by Jeevan Reddy, the brain behind films like Dalam, George Reddy in the past. First-time producer VS Raju is bankrolling the film under IV Productions. The makers label Chor Bazaar a 'love, action entertainer'. The film has already completed its shoot and the team is busy lending finishing touches to the result. It is expected to release in the theatres shortly.
Suresh Bobbili is composing the music for the film while Jagadish Cheekati has handled the cinematography. Anwar Ali is the editor; Gandhi Nadikudikar has been roped in as the art director. Prasanna Dantuluri is on board as the costume designer (while Lokesh is the costume chief). Bhanu has choregoragphed all the songs in the film. Besides Chor Bazaar, Akash Puri is awaiting the release of Romantic on November 4, where he's teamed up with Ketika Sharma. Romantic has story, screenplay, dialogues by Puri Jagannadh and is directed By Anil Paduri.
