2023 has come to an end, and all the giant OTT platforms are getting ready to make the year end memorable as much as they can. Previously we gave you a striking list of Prime Video’s fresh contents for the year-end, now we have come up with Netflix's December releases.

Netflix has finally dropped their very new releases for the month of December, where they have 43 contents, including movies and series. For the unversed, some of them have made their grand World Premieres at several film festivals like – Busan International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, and more.

So, here we have made a short list of 5 series and movies, which will make their debuts on Netflix this December:

Sweet Home Season 2

This K-Drama made such a big impact on audiences in 2020, that Studio N and Studio Dragon have come up with a second season now. Starring Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Si-young in the leads, based on the namesake webtoon by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan, this second season will be showing how the characters must once again fight for their lives in a world turned upside down. The Green Home survivors have been scattered, each trying to find their own way to survive in a world overrun by monsters. Hyun-su, the protagonist, is taken to a mysterious location where he is subjected to experiments. Meanwhile, other beings and mysterious phenomena emerge, adding to the chaos and confusion.

Sweet Home Season 2 will be released on December 1, 2023.

The Crown Season 6 Part 2

This British-American historical drama is all about the reign of Queen Elizabeth ll. It gave a vast idea of the royal family’s political rivalries, the late Queen’s love life, Princess Diana's death, various conspiracies, and more. The Season 5 unfolded as Queen Elizabeth II reigned for nearly four decades, finding herself navigating the tumultuous currents of a rapidly changing world. Her monarchy faces increasing scrutiny, her relationship with her restless husband is strained, and her family's dynamics are further complicated by the arrival of her controversial daughter-in-law.

The Season 6 covers the period between 1997 and 2000, which means you can expect to see the rise of Tony Blair, the tragic death of Princess Diana, and the start of Prince William and Kate Middleton's relationship. But unlike previous seasons, Season 6 is the first one to be split into two parts.

The Crown Season 6 Part 2 will be released on December 14, 2023.

Maestro

This film centres on the relationship between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegre, who was a Costa Rican-Chilean actress. It shows how Felicia met Leonard when she was just a newly launched actress in the US, and later got married to him in 1951 and had three children. The film will also show despite being married to a woman, how Leonardo was actually attracted towards men. The film made its World Premiere at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, where it was also nominated for Golden Lion.

Starring Bradley Cooper as Leonard, and Carey Mulligan as Felicia, Maestro will be released on December 20, 2023.

Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire

Zack Snyder has come up with a new space-opera, inspired by the works of Akira Kurosawa, the Star Wars films and Heavy Metal magazines. The film's logo is a homage to the adult science fiction and fantasy anthologies. The film will be showing a mixture of action, sci-fi, and a very engaging revenge drama. Rebel Moon is divided into two parts – Part One: A Child of Fire, and Part Two: A Scargiver.

After having a limited theatrical release in the US, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire will be globally released on December 22, 2023.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

This animated film tells a story about Brooklyn plumbers and brothers Mario and Luigi, who while working underground to fix a water main, are transported through a mysterious pipe to a magical new world. But when the siblings are separated, an epic adventure begins. Produced by Universal Pictures, Illumination, and Nintendo, the adventure-comedy is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and written by Matthew Fogel.

The animated film made its World Premiere at the 43rd Hawaii International Film Festival. The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be released on December 3, 2023.
