Ghaati OTT release date: When and where to stream Anushka Shetty’s latest action drama in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam

Ghaati, the recently released Telugu film starring actor Anushka Shetty in the lead role, is all set to make its streaming debut. As reported earlier by us, Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film and will premiere it on September 26. The film will be available with your OTTplay Premium subscription once you top up the plan with Prime Video.

Ghaati, the 2025 Telugu film which is directed by filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi, and starring Anushka Shetty in the lead role, has finished its theatrical run as it heads towards streaming platform Prime Video. It will stream from September 26 onwards in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, the streaming platform announced.

With Anushka Shetty playing the role of Sheelavathi, the female-centric film shows the protagonist’s journey in life, from being an oppressed woman to a powerful one who seeks revenge. The film is set against the backdrop of the Eastern Ghats on the Andhra–Odisha border. Ghaati mainly focusses on the titular community, who are marginalised and forced into an illicit trade and smuggling network orchestrated by the ruthless Naidu brothers. If you are looking to watch a story of resilience, retribution, and tribal defiance, then Ghaati is your weekend watch.

With Chintakindi Srinivas Rao penning the script, and music by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar, the film is shot by Manojh Reddy Katasani and edited by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu. Besides Anushka Shetty, the film also features actors Vikram Prabhu, Chaitanya Rao Madadi, and Ravindra Vijay in key roles. Ghaati is Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu’s Telugu debut.

Ghaati opened in theatres after much delays on September 5, and upon its release, had received mixed reviews from critics. Ghaati is Anushka's first release in nearly two years, given the actor was last seen in the 2023 film Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty.
