Ghamaghot on OTT: Release date, plot, trailer, star-cast, and more to know about the upcoming Odia action entertainer

The highly anticipated Odia action thriller, Ghamaghot, directed by Raja D, has secured its exclusive digital streaming rights with AAO NXT, soon after hitting the theatres on March 13, 2025. Hence, OTTplay Premium subscribers will also be able to watch the film easily. Citizens of Odisha state are eagerly waiting for the film’s release since its announcement in January. Ghamaghot promises to explore intense human emotions such as desire, greed, anger, along with gripping action sequences. Even the posters depict fierce looks of the actors.

The Odia action drama features Sandeep Kumar Mishra, Jhalak Soni, Sanoj Kumar, Abhishek Panda, Akash Rout, Vivash Rout, Sailendra Samantray, and Krishna Kar. However, Raja D took on many roles in the film, including directing, he also penned the narrative, the screenplay, and the dialogue writing. Ghamaghot is co-produced by Kaushik Das, Ram Patnaik, and Kaustav Das, while Gaurav Anand composed the music.

The story of Ghamaghot takes place in the same city, where five different events occur that are surprisingly connected to each other. These events are like a huge puzzle, and when you put the pieces together, they give the hint of a massive disaster that's going on in the city.

The real question is what causes these events to happen? Each of these incidents are filled with mixed human emotions. You see, when people want something badly, but can't have it, it's called lust or greed. When they get angry about something, it makes a burning desire inside them, when they love someone extremely, it can make them do crazy things. And when they think they are better than others, it becomes pride.

These feelings can change people. As the people in the story start to connect, their lives get complicated. They start to fight against each other for their own survival. In the end, all these strong feelings and complicated lives lead to a lot of destruction. It's like a big storm that destroys everything in its path.

What does the trailer of Ghamaghot show?

The trailer of Ghamaghot kicks off with a bang. We get to see a young man getting brutally beaten by the police, which causes his body to turn numb. Soon the video introduces us to Gecha Bhai, who seems to be a gangster of the area. The video shows us how much Gecha Bhai is brutal, arrogant, and emotionless. He kills people every now and then who make a single mistake.

As the trailer progresses, we see some young local football players fighting among each other due to some kind of mishap happening on the field, which leads to extreme bloodshed and death threats. The trailer also shows women’s strong will power and fight for justice. Even they are shown beating up people brutally.
