Aritra Sen is all geared up to release Ghore Pherar Gaan on March 17. Billed as a musical love story, the film features Ishaa Saha, Parambrtata Chatterjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Reshmi Sen, and others. Shot primarily in London, the film delves into the life of Tora, who goes to London after marriage and meets Imran, a musician hailed from Murshidabad.

On March 4, the music of the film was launched at a resto-pub in Kolkata. Besides the cast, the music composer of the film Prabuddha Banerjee, and playback singers Timir Biswas, and Samadipta were also present at the event. After a brief press conference, they presented a gig with the songs from the film. Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee hosted the gig.

The album of Ghore Pherar Gaan consists of a couple of original songs penned by Anindya Chatterjee and Ritaprabha Ray. Besides, it also has a number of Rabindrasangeet and folk songs. The film delves into the protagonists’ love for music.

At the music launch event, Prabuddha said, “Usually, when a song starts, the narration of the film takes a halt. In this film, the music goes hand in hand with the flow of the story. Due to the protagonists’ journey, we had to make sure that the songs and the overall music of the film retain the flavour of our original music. Meanwhile, it is also important to make the sound palette contemporary. We worked together to make it happen.”

At the gig, Parambrata joined the singers and sang a couple of songs. “Ghore Pherar Gaan is a film in which two characters find their journeys through music. In this film, Imran and Torsha are connected through music.”

Produced by Eskay films, Ghore Pherar Gaan will hit the theatres on March 17.
