Glimpse of Star In The Making from Kavin’s family drama is out; Check video

The makers of the upcoming Tamil film Star, starring Kavin in the lead role, released a glimpse from the next song Star In The Making on social media recently. The film is directed by Elan.

Star has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

A glimpse from Star is out

Star In The Making glimpse video shows montages of early stages of a star, as he struggles to make it big in the industry. Kavin is expected to play a movie star in the film. The song has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who will also double up as singer. It has lyrics penned by director Elan himself. The full song is yet to be released.

About Star

The film will be helmed by director Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame. Star, is one of the most ambitious projects in the rising star’s career. Interestingly, Kavin will have two female leads—Aaaditi S Pohankar and Preity Mukhundhan—in this family drama. He plays a movie star, and the film shows audiences the untold story of stardom, and showing the struggles of actors. Star has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. 

It is to be noted that Star was initially launched with actor Harish Kalyan, and the makers had released posters of the actor resembling iconic looks of yesteryear stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. However, due to undisclosed reasons, Kavin replaced Harish Kalyan as the lead in Star. The film is backed by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.

Kavin’s upcoming projects

Kavin is currently working on Star with director Elan. While a release date is yet to be fixed, the film is expected to release sometime this year. He also has a film with choreographer Sathish Krishnan in his directorial debut. The film, which is yet-to-be officially titled, is speculated to be called Kiss. The film will have music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Rumours also float that Kavin's next will be directed by Vikranan Ashokan, who has worked as assistant director to filmmaker Vetri Maaran, with the latter backing the film.
