Telugu actor Satyadev Kancharana is undoubtedly going on a roll with signing up for projects back-to-back, mostly remakes, and enjoying the success of his recently released movies. This time, he is all set to appear in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming Telugu remake of Lucifer titled ‘Godfather’. Satyadev will be portraying the role of Vivek Oberoi from the original Malayalam film. This will be the first time where he will be appearing alongside the lady superstar Nayanthara as her on-screen husband.

Lucifer starred Mohanlal as the lead of the movie, which was a commercial success during the time of its release. The movie was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also appeared in the movie in an important role. This time, in the Telugu remake, Chiranjeevi will be portraying the role of Lalettan from the original version. Godfather will also feature Prithviraj in a pivotal role.

Lucifer also featured Manju Warrier in an important role, that will be portrayed by Nayanthara in the Telugu remake. She will be appearing as Satyadev’s wife in the movie, where the couple are faced with marital conflict. She is touted to play the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister on-screen.

Satyadev is also set to pair up with Tamannaah in another upcoming movie of his, titled Gurthundaa Seethakalam, which is the Telugu remake of the Kannada romantic drama Love Mocktail. The story of the upcoming movie is based on the protagonist’s quest for love. The original version featured Krishna as the main lead.

Godfather, is set to be a massive project that will be featuring artists from the Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil film industries. Mohan Raja has donned the hat of the director for the upcoming Chiranjeevi-starrer. There is also a buzz of Salman Khan making an appearance in the Telugu magnum opus.
