Netizens are loving the return of Japan’s legendary Kaiju with Godzilla Minus One and even dubbed it as one of the best films of the entire year. The monster series spin-off premiered in November in Japan and released in the US and Canada 3 days ago and fans can’t seem to hold their excitement!

The year 2023 is definitely a rememberable time for Godzilla fans as their joys doubled with two films, Godzilla Minus One releasing its magnificent tale of violence, grief, and war trauma, while the other Godzilla X Kong trailer gives insights about the terrific team-up between two monsters 

Godzilla Minus One is the newest reincarnation of the franchise by the Japanese makers after the appearance of Shin Godzilla seven years ago. Directed and written by Takashi Yamazaki, this reboot follows the terrors of World War II and how one wrong decision can take a toll on destruction and survivors' guilt. One of the key characters is played by Ryunosuke Kamiki as a Kamikaze pilot, who meets other significant characters while battling the rampage by Godzilla on a Japanese island.

Amongst the stellar cast are, Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, and Sakura Ando.

Fans laud Godzilla Minus One, and call it the best!

Taking to the social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), netizens are pouring in their reviews about the humungous monster loved for several past decades. Godzilla films, led by the classic Toho Co., bring back epic adventures on big screens. Fans who have already watched the live-action monster creating chaos in Japan are showering heaps of praise on the team for bringing a masterpiece on screen. One X user lauded the special effects and said, “A gripping, fierce, horrific and heartfelt mediation on survivor's guilt and trauma. It has what is potentially the greatest sound mix I've ever heard in Dolby Cinema.”

While another drew a stark contrast of the decent budget in the Godzilla($15 million) films to its Hollywood counterparts. He said, “A $15 million budget and it is better than every modern Hollywood blockbuster by leaps and bounds. So much heart, so much humanity, so much action. 10/10”

Others are expressing their excitement to watch the film soon, another X user wrote, “Great time to be a Godzilla fan. Can’t wait to see Minus One tomorrow.”

The movie released in US and Canada on December 1, days after its premiere in the home country Japan.
