Warner Bros and Legendary’s fan favourite blockbuster Godzilla vs Kong will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from August 14. The film that was released in theatres earlier this year, will be available in three Indian languages - Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
A follow up to 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong was released in India in March. Directed by Adam Wingard, the film followed Kong and his protectors who try to take Kong to his real home. But on their way, they run into an enraged Godzilla, who has been causing mayhem and destruction across the world's cities. Kong is the only thing standing between Godzilla and worldwide destruction.
The film was greeted with a fairly positive response from the fans. The film does not spend time with characters or their development, but gets straight into Godzilla and Kong's battle for supremacy, in a visual spectacle.
Godzilla vs Kong has an ensemble cast of Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Eiza Reyna.
Both Godzilla and Kong are classics that were created decades ago. The first Godzilla was a Japanese kaiju film released in 1954 directed by Ishiro Honda. The first Kong movie was released in 1933 directed by Merian C Cooper.
The rebooted franchise began with the release of Godzilla in 2014, directed by Gareth Edwards. This was followed by Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and later by Godzilla: King of Monsters.
Godzilla vs Kong is the fourth movie in the Monsterverse, a shared universe where Kong and Godzilla both exist.
