The director of Golam, Samjad P S, disclosed details regarding the mystery thriller's sequel in a conversation with OTTplay. He stated that there will be a sequel to the Ranjith Sajeev-starrer; however, more details will be revealed later. "We had written the story in its entirety and separated it into two sections. We will definitely try to push our boundaries in the sequel, which will be more intense," he continued. Golam hit the big screen on June 7.
When it comes to Golam's script, Samjad—who also co-wrote the screenplay—and Praveen Viswanath have both attempted to include a variety of elements that the audience will be able to decipher, adding an intriguing element to the movie. "People who have seen the movie would understand why it's called Golam, or Sphere. Additionally, it illustrates the complexities of the movie's story," he remarked.

The young director underscored the importance of viewing the film in theatres. "We sincerely hope that the film piques the interest of viewers as much as we do, particularly given the excellent selection of films currently showing in theatres," he said. Samjad continued, saying that he has been careful to include elements that do not wear out audiences at any point and only what the script requires because it is difficult to please people with anything or underestimate them.
The film's director commented that he considers himself lucky to have cast a strong group of both young and experienced actors. We have selected newcomers from across most of Kerala and Lakshadweep. He said, "Ranjith is a dedicated young actor who is willing to discuss with others how to improve his performance and improvise any given scene.”
Samjad added that Sunny Wayne and Dileesh Pothan had been excellent performers and sources of support for him. He went on, "Siddique is an exceptional actor who captures the exact emotion."
