Kannada cinema’s Golden Star Ganesh was in Mumbai recently, and one of the items on his itinerary was the Kapil Sharma show. Ganesh posted a video of him getting ready for the shoot and heading to the set, where he met the show host. Along with the video, Ganesh wrote, “Happy to be a part of my favourite show. Thank you, @KapilSharmaK9 sir for your love and warmth. Looking forward.” Kapil responded, “It was a pleasure hosting you sir. Lots of love and best wishes always.”

According to the buzz on social media, Ganesh was on the show to talk about the latest season of the Celebrity Cricket League, which kicks off on February 18 and brings together actors from 8 different industries to battle it out in a game of cricket. This season, incidentally, marks Ganesh’s debut with the Karnataka Bulldozers, which also features Kiccha Sudeep as an all-rounder. The team was earlier led by Sudeep, but he has now passed on the reins to Pradeep Bogadi.

Reacting to Ganesh’s video, fans are hopeful that he’s discussed more than just cricket with Kapil, and that his career in the Kannada industry, including his upcoming film Baanadariyalli, were also topics they spoke about. There’s no update as to when this episode of the show will air, but if it is about the Celebrity Cricket League, the telecast date will not be far off.

The next few weekends will be action packed for Ganesh, as he joins the Karnataka Bulldozers and will play four matches across four weekends. In between, he and most of his team mates have to also report for the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup in Bengaluru, which takes place over two days on February 24 and 25. His film was earlier meant to release on March 17, so he would have then been neck deep in its promotions as well, but Baanadariyalli has been pushed ahead yet again. A new release date will be announced on Valentine’s Day.-
