Golden Star Ganesh's penchant for love stories and romance dramas has yielded several cult classics in the modern era of Kannada cinema. What began in the year 2006 with Yogaraj Bhat's Mungaru Male, Ganesh's career so far boasts several superhits in the romance space with films like Gaalipata, Gaalipata 2, Maleyali Jotheyali, Romeo and 99 being the highlights. To his credit, the actor has tried his hand at other genres as well over the years but his core audience has largely preferred to see him in films about love.

And it looks like Ganesh has another title to add to this list. On the occasion of his 43rd birthday, the actor took to social media to share the first-look poster of his new signing, which is titled Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi. 'Love Finds its Way...' reads the tagline of this film which is being directed by Srinivasa Raju ('Dandupalya' fame) and the poster reveals Ganesh in a rather alluring avatar - clad in a beige-coloured suit, his snazzy look is contrasted by a steel bucket, a broomstick and a floor mop that he clutches in his two arms. The whole image is juxtaposed with a regal vintage car in the backdrop.

Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi is produced by Trishul Entertainment with Arjun Janya scoring the music and Venkat Prasad handling the cinematography. According to recent reports, the team began shooting after a low-key muhurtha ceremony with Sadhu Kokila and Giri Shivanna already part of the cast. Another report confirmed that Malayalam-Telugu actress Malavika Nair will play the female lead in the film and is likely to join the team at the earliest.

In the same report, Srinivasa Raju described the film as 'feel-good', adding that Ganesh oozes the charm that is required for these kinds of films. It's a break from the violence that he has grown to be known for through the four Dandupalya films and one certainly looks forward to seeing what this unusual combination has in store.
