Golden Star Ganesh wraps up first schedule of film with Hanu-Man’s Amritha Aiyer

One of the most commonly heard refrains in Kannada cinema circles is that the stars ought to do films at a much faster pace. For instance, Sudeep took 2 and a half years to return with Max after Vikrant Rona , Rakshit Shetty is yet to begin work on Richard Anthony (the prequel to Ulidavaru Kandanthe ), his last being 2023’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, Rishab Shetty’s last was Kantara in September 2022 and Yash will next be seen only in 2026, when Toxic comes out, nearly 4 years after KGF: Chapter 2. Two actors who consistently work on multiple projects are Shivarajkumar and Golden Star Ganesh, even if the films have varied results at the box office.

Ganesh, for instance, had a slump with films like Sakkath, Gaalipata 2 , Triple Riding and. Baanadaariyalli, which he broke last year with the hit Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi , one of the film’s that gave the Kannada movie industry a fillip in 2024. The actor’s always had at least 2-3 releases in a year, barring the odd exception, and is looking at a similar track record in 2025 too. Ganesh has been working on not 1 or 2 but three films, all of which are in different stages of completion.

Most recently, he wrapped up the first schedule of lyricist filmmaker Arasu Anthare’s return to filmmaking after Love in Mandya, an as-yet-un titled family entertainer that brings Hanu-Man fame Amritha Aiyer to Kannada cinema. The team announced the completion of the first schedule in Bengaluru, which also had Rangayana Raghu, Ravishankar Gowda, Cockroach Suddhi and Aruna Balraj as part of it. After a short break, the team is expected to convene for the second schedule soon.

Meanwhile, Ganesh’s film with debutant AR Vikhyath, Yours Sincerely Raam, which also stars Ramesh Aravind in a main role, is said to be nearing completion. The film also stars Ganesh’s Romeo and 99 co-star Bhavana. Ganesh is also a part of choreographer B Dhananjaya’s directorial debut, Pinaka, which, will see him in a never-before-seen avatar.
