Good Bad Ugly actor Ajith Kumar receives Padma Bhushan award from President of India

In January, we had reported that Ajith Kumar has been announced with Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award by the government of India. On Monday, the actor-racer received the award from the president of the country, Droupadi Murmu at an event which was held at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Along with Ajith Kumar, others from the film industry, including Nandamuri Balakrishna, singer Pankat Udhas and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur also received the award.

Ajith Kumar receives Padma Bhushan award

Actor Ajith Kumar who recently appeared in Tamil film Good Bad Ugly, received the Padma Bhushan award from president of India, Droupadi Murmu on Monday. The award event took place at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi, where other prominent personalities also were awarded the third highest civilian award. Ajith Kumar was one among the 19 to be conferred with the award. Ajith Kumar has been given the award under the category of art, it was announced by the Indian government.

“He is a towering figure in Indian cinema, particularly in the Tamil film industry. His ability to portray a wide spectrum of characters has cemented his reputation as one of the most versatile actors in the industry. His influence stretches far beyond the confines of cinema. He is involved in charitable activities, lending support to various causes without seeking public attention,” it was told while conferring the award.

As someone who aced both onscreen and offscreen on the racing track, the Billa 2 actor has a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu, and had recently taken part in car racing competition along with his team, AK Racing.

Good Bad Ugly OTT release date

Ajith Kumar was recently seen in Tamil action drama Good Bad Ugly. The film which also stars his Mankatha co-star Trisha Krishnan, will be heading to Netflix in a few days. Tentatively, the film is scheduled to stream from May first week onwards.

Good Bad Ugly is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran and also stars Usha Uthup, Rahul Dev, Kingsley, Roadies Raghu, Pradeep Kabra, Harry Josh, KGF Avinash, Yogi Babu, Prasanna, Prabhu, Priya Prakash, Simran, Tinnu Anand, Sayaji Shinde, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Arjun Das and others.
