Good Bad Ugly advance booking collection: Ajith Kumar’s film to have soaring opening weekend but fails to beat Vijay’s GOAT pre-sales

With just less than 24 hours to go for the release of Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith Kumar, tickets have been selling like hot cakes in Tamil Nadu. Given the film is to have a solo release with no other Tamil films for competition, and the weekend to be long due to Tamil New Year and Mahavir Jayanthi, Good Bad Ugly is expected to make good sales. There is a lot of buzz around the film, which reminds us of cult classics like Dheena and Amarkalam getups of the actor. Good Bad Ugly advance booking collection: Ajith Kumar’s film might surpass Vidaamuyarchi

The Mankatha star is gearing up for the release of Good Bad Ugly, scheduled to release on April 10. As per reports, the advance bookings for Ajith Kumar's film have been showing a positive trend. Pinkvilla has reported that Good Bad Ugly has grossed over Rs 28 crore already, including Rs 4.5 crore coming from overseas business. However, the film has not beaten Vijay’s GOAT pre-sales of Rs 63 crore.

Good Bad Ugly is the only Tamil film to release this weekend, making it a cakewalk for makers in Tamil Nadu. However, the real test lies in states like Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, along with the northern belt, which will witness releases in their respective languages.

Good Bad Ugly makers chose not to have early morning shows, with the FDFS starting between 8am and 9am across India in all states, with US to have premieres as early as 4 am IST. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the film, with Adhik Ravichandran who has helming it.

The film is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran who has co-starred with Ajith in Nerkonda Paarvai. The upcoming film’s OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix. Good Bad Ugly boasts a stellar ensemble, including actors Trisha Krishnan, Usha Uthup, Rahul Dev, Kingsley, Roadies Raghu, Pradeep Kabra, Harry Josh, KGF Avinash, Yogi Babu, Prasanna, Prabhu, Priya Prakash, Tinnu Anand, Sayaji Shinde, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Arjun Das and others.
