Good Bad Ugly box office collection day 1: Adhik Ravichandran gives career best opening for Ajith, beats Vidaamuyarchi, Valimai

Soon after the release of Vidaamuyarchi, actor Ajith Kumar followed up with his second release of the year, titled Good Bad Ugly. Directed by self-confessed fanboy of the actor, Adhik Ravichandran, the action drama debuted in theatres on Thursday, and has collected Rs 28 crore at the domestic box office on its first day.

Good Bad Ugly is an action drama starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, who has earlier starred with Ajith in Nerkonda Paarvai. Produced by My thri Movie Makers in their Tamil debut, Good Bad Ugly was the sole Tamil film to release in theatres on Thursday, and will be capitalising the incoming long weekend.

As per Sacnilk, Good Bad Ugly has collected Rs 28.5 crore on day one at the domestic box office. The film is expected to enjoy the solo release for a while, given the long weekend combined with festivity like Tamil New Year.

Though received mixed, Good Bad Ugly’s unanimous response is that the film is a star-celebrating film which has tucked in multiple easter eggs and references to Ajith’s glorious filmography. Films like Vaalee , Amarkalam , Dheena and Mankatha have been constantly referred to in the film, making it a ‘fanboy sambavam’ as many netizens called Good Bad Ugly.

Where to stream Good Bad Ugly on OTT?

After its theatrical run, Good Bad Ugly will stream on Netflix. An OTT release date is yet to be announced by the platform. The action drama has music by GV Prakash Kumar and marks Ajith’s 63rd outing as lead actor.
