Good Bad Ugly, the 2025 Tamil film starring actor Ajith Kumar in the lead role, is no longer available on Netflix to stream. The film was taken down from the streaming platform late Tuesday, owing to the ongoing legal battle, all thanks to Ilaiyaraaja, the veteran composer.

Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith Kumar and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, had released earlier this year in theatres. It is one of the highest-grossing Tamil films this year. After its theatrical run, Good Bad Ugly made its OTT debut on Netflix and had found a home on the streaming platform ever since. However, on Tuesday, the film was taken down from Netflix.

This is because of the ongoing legal suit filed by veteran composer Ilaiyaraaja. He had approached the court on the grounds that his old compositions, Ottha Ruba Tharen, Ilamai Idho Idho, and En Jodi Manja Kuruvi, were used in the film without his consent. Ilaiyaraaja, who is known for his strict discipline in not letting other parties, use his compositions without prior permission.

The composer had demanded an apology and compensation, and filed a copyright infringement case. While the producers had claimed they had gotten the permission, the necessary details were not submitted. As a result, the Madras High Court had to intervene and stop the makers of Good Bad Ugly from streaming the film on Netflix.
