Good Bad Ugly OTT release date: The streaming partner of Ajith's film had been announced months before the theatrical release, so the only question is when it will be on the platform

In January this year, popular streamer Netflix had unveiled its 2025 slate of Tamil movie acquisitions, which included two of superstar Ajith’s films – Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly – among others like Dragon, Retro, Thuglife, and more. The only question then was how long after the theatrical release these films would be on the platform. Vidaamuyarchi, which hit theatres on February 6, was available to stream on March 3 with a 29-day window, while Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon came out on March 21, 26 days from the date of theatrical release.
If Netflix has been sticking to the on or before 30-days window to have these titles on its platform, it would be safe to assume that Good Bad Ugly, which released on April 10, should also be on the streamer within a similar time frame. While Netflix has not officially announced the release date of Good Bad Ugly, reports have emerged that the film will premiere on May 8, 2025.

Director Adhik Ravichandran’s film was fan service from start-to-finish with several callbacks to popular Ajith movies like Amarkalam, Dheena and Valee, as well as the inclusion of bits of songs from Vikram and Sakalakala Vallavan, with the latter drawing the makers into a legal tussle with music composer Ilaiyaraaja, who claimed that it was done without his permission.
In the film, Ajith played a reformed gangster, who is forced to go back to his old violent ways when his son gets into trouble with a crime network in Spain.
