Good Omens Season 2, starring David Tennant, Michael Sheen wraps filming, confirms showrunner

Amazon Prime Video show Good Omens Season 2 has wrapped filming, showrunner Douglas Mackinnon announced on Twitter yesterday.

The image is of a soundstage door with a poster bearing the words from Season 1 "Get thee behind me, foul fiend...after you." Mackinnon also tagged Neil Gaiman in the post, who is the author of the book the series is based on.

Michael Sheen and David Tennant will return in the leading roles of the angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley in Season 2 along with Jon Hamm as Archangel Gabriel. 

It was previously revealed that Season 2 will go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley.

Paul Adeyefa, Michael McKean, Gloria Obianyo, Miranda Richardson, Maggie Service, Reece Shearsmith and Nina Sosanya are also part of the cast.

Amazon Studios, BBC Studios Productions, The Blank Corporation, and Narrativia are the producer. Gaiman is the executive producer along with Mackinnon has also returned to direct. 

A release date announcement for Good Omens Season 2 is expected soon.
