Goodachari 2: Banita Sandhu comes on board for Adivi Sesh’s spy thriller

After back-to-back successes, Adivi Sesh is gearing up to commence the shoot of Goodachari 2, the ambitious sequel and the second instalment to his spy thriller franchise (Goodachari). The scripting work, pre-production of the film had begun earlier this year. Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, who worked as an associate for Goodachari and Major, makes his directorial debut with the big-budget saga. s

Goodachari is jointly produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts in collaboration with AK Entertainments. While the film had a grand launch earlier this year in Mumbai, the team plans to start filming soon. Meanwhile, the makers took to social media to confirm the leading lady in Goodachari 2 this morning.

“A special surprise this morning! The spy thriller marks Banita Sandhu’s Telugu debut. She had earlier acted in Tamil, English and Hindi films as well.

Expressing her happiness about coming on board for G2, Banita Sandhu shared, “Goodachari 2 is my first pan-India film and I’m thrilled to be associated with a talented, enthusiastic team. I am so excited about my role which showcases me in a new avatar. and it’s unlike anything I’ve done in the past. I’m sure it’ll be a ‘creative delight’”

Banita Sandhu shot to fame with her impactful portrayals in Shoojit Sircar’s October and the national award winning-Sardar Udham, and went onto act in Adithya Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, as well. She was also part of the popular Netflix show Bridgerton and the critically acclaimed Mother Teresa and Me in 2023. Goodachari 2 will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi in 2024.
