Gouri Elo: Netizens call Mohona Maity ‘Manjulika’ after the new promo

Mohona Maity, aka Gouri of Goiri Elo, has revealed her latest look. Her face is smeared with ash, with smudged kohl on the eyes. She wears a saffron saree, holding a Trishul, with rudraksha in her hand. This is how Gouri came back on the screen. 

The audience was used to seeing her in a white saree after Ishan's death. Now they were startled seeing her new look. Sailaja has been conspiring against Gouri and Ishan since the first day. Gouri lost Ishan after giving birth to their child. Now she has become tough after facing several obstacles. The serial Gouri Elo's new promo is out, where Gouri, dons this new avatar to punish Mahajan. 

The audience started ridiculing the look. They trolled Mohona, as they were irritated by this change. Many people found similarities with the character Manjulika, played by Tabu, in the film Bhool Bhulaiya. Many complained that the script was not good. One person wrote, “The promo makes me sick. How can I watch the serial?” Another one wrote, “This is entirely Manjulika.” Another person wrote, “Please stop this.” Many people demanded that the serial should be closed. Team Gouri Elo faced controversies before also. Mohona told Anandabazar Online that time 'it is good that we are being discussed. I do not want to pay attention to what others say. I want to keep on doing my work.' 

The result of working attentively reflects on the TRP list. Many changes happened in this week's TRP list. But Gouri Elo held its position in the top three.
