Govinda Naam Mera trailer launch: Vicky Kaushal reveals Katrina Kaif’s reaction to his film

Vicky Kaushal is gearing up to grace the silver screen in quite a quirky avatar, in his upcoming film, Govinda Naam Mera. The film will see Vicky as the titular character, who finds himself entangled in messy murder case, while trying to resolve his problems with his wife and girlfriend. The makers recently unveiled the trailer of the film at an event in Mumbai, which saw Vicky, Bhumi and Kiara in attendance. During the event, Vicky revealed the delightful reaction his wife Katrina had to the film.

“Very good, love. This was the reaction Katrina had to the film”, revealed Vicky. The actor went on to say that Katrina really loved the film’s poster and was really looking forward to it as well.

One of the main reasons Katrina was looking forward to the film was the fact that Vicky used to incessantly talk about how much fun he had working on it. He said that he used to talk about the fun experiences he had on set each day to her. However, he was not aware of how she reacted to the trailer, as she had not seen it when he had left his house. But he said that as far as the film was concerned, Katrina was very excited to see it.

During the event, Vicky also spoke of how director Shashank Khaitan had approached him for the film, saying that the latter was working on something ‘pagal’. The actor said that he was hungry to do a film where he did not have to cry, and was more than happy to take up the role.

In addition to Vicky, Bhumi and Kiara, the film also features Renuka Shahane, Veenah Naair and Amy Aela in pivotal roles.

Govinda Naam Mera will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16.
