Govinda on his likely OTT debut: 'Success is built on OTT platforms today'

OTT space has seen a lot of yesteryear actors getting relaunched for their second innings in the industry. The Bollywood actors, who have been only seen working in films are now working in shows too. The successful Bollywood hero Govinda has ruled the silver screens in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000. While now he can only be seen in reality shows. Recently, the actor revealed his thoughts of working on OTT platforms.

In a recent interaction with Zee News digital, Govinda unveiled that he wishes to explore the OTT space. He further mentioned that times have definitely changed now and things have evolved to a point where success is built on OTT platforms today. "OTT is a platform for all kinds of artists, and I would really love to explore the OTT space as an actor,” the Swarg actor added.

During the 90s, Govinda has shared his successful inning in the industry with the Bollywood diva Karishma Kapoor. Both of them have been recently seen together in a reality show titled India’s Got Talent. Chi Chi and Lo Lo have also seen sharing screen space together for a fun KFC commercial.

Karishma shared the ad video on her official IG handle and captioned, "The biggest Jodi is here. If there's anyone who comes close to deserving the title of No. 1 Jodi, this is it! Right ChiChi? Crispy KFC Chicken aur Biryani Rice - yehi toh hai asli No.1 Jodi! (sic)."

While the actor revealed his wish to be seen on OTT platforms, he didn't inform about any upcoming ventures. Govinda was last seen in the 2019 comedy-drama movie Rangeela Raja, which didn't perform very well at the box office.
